  5. Since my mother doesn't live close to my anymore, we spend breakfast with my mother-in-law and then I get the day to myself. It usually involves making the kids help me do yard work getting ready for spring plantings.

  8. Our favorite Mother's Day tradition is to bring our mom bouquets of pink and purple carnations (her favorite flowers) from each of us. We take her out to a champagne brunch. This year, we are skipping the brunch and taking her on a week long cruise.

We are such a close family that we can celebrate Mother's Day several times a month. She's the best mom (and dad) that 4 girls could ask for.

  13. My mom really does alot to make sure are house is looking the best so for Mothers Day I make sure I have everything clean and put away once she gets home for work so she is not stressed and then leave a card and some flowers on the table. Then once my dad gets home from work my sister, dad and I take my mom out to eat wherever she wants to go and let her plan the rest of the night.

  16. My favorite Mother's Day tradition is saying "Happy Mother's Day!!" and seeing the big smile on my mom's face. As my mom is a busy kindergarten and Sunday school teacher, this would be a perect and nutritious break time snack..which might lead to the following lesson plan: "Now, let's all read out loud: Jack be nimble..." :) -Michelle K.(mfkoniak@yahoo.com)

  17. We garden! Every Mother's day, we wake up and drink coffee and read the news paper together. Then we head to the local farmers' market and pick out as many different types of flowers we can, go home, and start doing lawn work. The windows are open, my mom's favorite music is playing, and her kids and husband are outside with her, getting dinner. Later, we make her dinner - whatever she wants, while telling stories of our favorite memories.
