Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole

I made an awesome dish that I found on Pinterest! I am sharing my pics and the recipe!
What you need:
  • Two cups of cooked rice
  • 3 cups of chicken ( I used canned Tyson chicken 3 LARGE cans)
  • Swiss Cheese
  •  Diced ham ( two packages of store brand)
  •  2 cans of cream of chicken
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  •  1/2 Cup of Sour Cream
  • 1 box of Saltine Crackers

Spray a dish with non stick spray. Take the two cups of cooked rice and put it in the bottom of the pan.
Take your three cups of chicken ( COOK) and put it on top of the rice.
Layer your SWISS Cheese to your cheese liking!
Spread your ham on top of your cheese.

Take your Cream of Chicken and milk and sour cream and mix them all together. THEN spread it on top of the ham.
Crush the crackers and spread them on top to your liking!
BAKE 350* for 30 minutes!!! and ENJOY!!!!!!!!
When finished crackers should be browned and cheese melted.

  2. I love love love LOVE Chicken Cordon Bleu... With some adjusts for prefrences, I think this would be amazing!

Also, reminds me of No Peek Chicken, something my mom makes ALL THE TIME, (it started as a camping recipe but quickly jumped into our normal rotation!) Its Rice, Lipton Onion Soup mix (2 packets), Either Cream of Chicken (or I like Cream of Mushroom) x2, and boneless skinless chicken breast (or tenders, which is what I buy)... Now, when my mom makes it, she throws the condensed soup over the rice, then the chicken on top, and the soup mix over the top. I MIX the rice with the condensed soup, and and my "usual" spices, then the chicken and soup mix...

THEN.... You cover it in tin foil, and put in the oven at 200, for 3 or more hours!

  7. I think my kids would actually like this, they are picky eaters like I used to be. I remember the first time I had chicken cordon bleu, I was probably about 10 and it was at my uncles funeral. Don't know why I shared that but I have liked the meal ever since, it's just time consuming to make. This recipe would actually be fun!

  8. Your pics are making me hungry... :) Very unique. I have definitely not made a dish like this before but I would like to try. My husband is anti-rice though so I may need to make a substitution.

I love chicken cordon bleu and casseroles, which are so much easier to make and feed a family with. I will have to try this recipe. It looks really really easy to make, and like it would taste delicious. Thanks!
