IKEA Soft Toys for Education Campaign

Since 2003, the IKEA Soft Toys for Education campaign has donated $61.75 million (€47.5 million) in donations to UNICEF and Save the Children, helping eight million children through over 70 programs. When you think of IKEA, usually you think furniture..well you can buy more than that this Holiday Season. For each IKEA soft toy or book purchased, one euro (about $1.35 here in the US) is donated to the campaign. This is a great cause and you can help make a difference. The funds raised through the soft toy campaign contribute to better school facilities, access to water and toilets, work toward strengthening the right to education for minority children, provide educational supplies and go to training teachers in child-friendly teaching techniques.
This adorable Broccoli soft toy can be purchased for $9.99. The Soft Rabbit can be purchased for $4.99. And The Little Fox's Adventures book for $4.99!  All of the adorable IKEA Soft Toys are fun to cuddle with, are tested for safety, and are machine washable.

If you decide to shop at IKEA this Holiday Season, Be selfless and make a difference. Give up that one fast food meal, or that cup of Starbucks and purchase one of these Soft Toys or books. The Ikea Soft Toys start at only 49 CENTS! Check them all out. They will make a great gift for any child in your life too!
Follow IKEA on Facebook and Twitter too!

*The Small Things was not paid for this post. I received the Soft Toys above, and in return shared about the IKEA Soft Toys for Education Campaign*

  1. I went to the ikea web site for the soft toys. They have the cutest Duktig soft tool belt, it is the cutest thing. The price was so low I couldn't believe it. Thanks for sharing the review on the soft toys.

  2. I love soft animals. They are adorable. Thanks.

  3. Oh these are so adorable and I love that they are machine washable too! What a great gift for baby!!!!

  4. You are right, I thought that Ikea only carried furniture and other big household-type items. Kiddo would adore the puppy...I wonder if it is just holiday time, I'll be checking it out!

  5. These are so cute and knowing that when we purchase one of these great toys funds will be donated to help a cause. It is great to teach the kids now about giving back and helping others. The toys themselves are so cute to donate to Toys For Tots or any other charity too.
