Stand Up to Sandy - Help Feed the Hungry

Stand Up to Sandy - Help Feed the Hungry

The NJ-NY area is recovering from the worst natural disaster in more than a century, and the Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) is critical to providing for families, seniors and children left devastated by Hurricane Sandy. The CFBNJ is distributing over 100,000 pounds of food daily, along with blankets, diapers, clothes and other supplies - but, the need is growing. There are many ways people, local and elsewhere, can support the effort.

Charity auctions:

The FoodBank has partnered with Charity Folks to auction celebrity experiences and more to support relief efforts in NJ & NY. The auctions begin on Nov. 19 and include donations from Sarah Jessica Parker, Glenn Close, Selena Gomez, Nicole Kidman, Jimmy Kimmel, Derek Jeter, and more. Visit to see the goods - 100% of the proceeds will quickly help people in need! Interested in donating to the auction? Email

Donate funds, items or volunteer:

Text FEEDNJ to 80888 to donate $10
Visit and click on “Hurricane Relief”
    Call (908) 355-3663 ext. 253
Follow the CFBNJ on Facebook and Twitter

Financial donations have great impact as the food bank turns every $1 into $10 worth of food.
The road to recovery will be long and challenging, but with your support we can meet the needs of people affected by this devastation
