Hey everyone! I am sure it is about time I tell you all MORE about myself, if you are new here this is a great time to get to know me better. Hello to all of my new friends and bloggers! =) My name is Brenda. Friends call me "Bre". I was born in Büdingen, Germany in a CASTLE! YES! I am a princess! HA! The small town has a medieval feel to it, so it is not uncommon to have houses and places look like castles and all of that princess story stuff! Anyways, I was brought over here when I was a few months old, I couldn't tell you what it is like there because of course, I was so little.
I have two sisters and a brother! I was married almost 4 years to my ex husband but things happened and life changed. I met my now husband! I adore him a ton! We are like peanut butter and jelly.. we are meant for each other.. (okay okay.. that was corny!) I have 5 kids! I am a mother of three girls and two boys. My husband met me when I had 4 children. It takes a real man to take all of that on. My oldest was born 9/20/06! Her name is Lydia! My Daughter Annabelle was born 8/31/08, My son Aiden was born not long after on 8/19/09! Oi! Irish Twins! And my little Connor was born on 5/31/10 at 32 weeks. He is great though!
My husband and I married November 5, 2011. We tried to conceive a little one of our own over a year. We found out December 5th, 2012 we were pregnant. In February of this year, we found out our baby had a fatal birth defect and she was going to die in my womb or after birth. We were told we could carry or terminate. We carried and found out we were having a girl! I was so happy! Then, on April 9, 2013 I went into premature labor. They did not stop it due to her fatal condition.
Our princess Aubrey Elizabeth Brown was born April 10, 2013 at 20 weeks and 5 days. She was 9 inches and 10 oz. I wear her ashes around my neck in my urn necklace. She has made a big impact on my current readers. If you are new here, I would love for you to read more about Anencephaly on our tab above or HERE. The loss of our daughter has impacted our lives in ways that we can't imagine happening to anyone else. She gives me a reason to share the story and get the word out. When people ask me how many kids I have, I am proud to mention all of them, including Aubrey! It makes me feel good to share this with all of you.
The Small Things was an idea by my husband. He does small things that make me fall in love all over with him, time and time again. That is when we decided to name my blog The Small Things- Because it is the small things that matter the most in life! I love reviewing products and sharing my opinions on them. I also love to promote companies on social media and interacting with my readers. You will also find me hosting giveaways because I love winning things myself, I thought it would be GREAT to allow my readers to win stuff for themselves! Giving back to my readers for being a big part of why my blog is successful makes me feel great! I do not limit myself to what I write about because I believe that having a variety of content and not limiting what I write will make my blog unique. Thanks so much for reading and again..welcome to The Small Things!
