Do you have a preschool aged child? If so, this post is perfect for you! I wanted to share with you all a cute and amazing new show called Wishenpoof. This new series is created by Angela C. Santomero. (She is also known for Blue’s Clues, Creative Galaxy, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Super Why!)This is an adorable new 13 episode animated preschool series that you and your children are just going to love. I had a chance to check out a few episodes myself and I want to tell you all about it! In the first episode, you are going to be introduced to Bianca! There is something special about this sweet little girl. Bianca can make her friends wishes come true with magic! One birthday, she closed her eyes and her wish came true! She has wish magic! She has the cutest teddy bear named Bob that talks and moves around too!
One thing I love about this series is that it teaches our children the critical things they need at the preschool age! It teaches them life skills like focus and self-control, perspective taking, communicating, creativity, critical thinking, taking on challenge, and self-directed engaged learning. I love the imaginative play that goes on in this show too. I think that the 3D animation is just amazing!
Bianca helps her friends overcome their issues with music or without. For example, her friend Charlie was scared to sing on stage because he was afraid people would laugh at him. She helped him overcome his fear! We all know preschool aged and even my daughter, age 8 have their moments they are scared or they need to be told THEY CAN do this.
I remember when Lydia started playing softball, she was so scared she wouldn't ever hit the ball. She would cry and be so upset. We would talk to her and her little team mates would talk to her and let her know that SHE can do this. She did it! She hit her first ball and ran and ran. It was the sweetest moment. Lydia also had her BUGZ play at school and she told me she was scared to be on stage in front of people. I told her she had nothing to be scared of and she realized after the first performance how fun it was!
I loved the second episode even more. Bianca's friend Penelope was pretending that her toy horse was flying. Her friend Violet was being mean telling her that horse don't fly and she was acting like a baby. Bianca wanted to use magic because Penelope wished that Violet wouldn't have said that. Bob, her teddy bear reminded her that when she sees something that isn't right, to say something! So she did. Kids this age need to learn these skills and that is what makes this show so much better!
This show is a must watch! I love the concept and I love the idea. It is amazing if you ask me and parents everywhere are going to agree! It isn't "just another tv show". It teaches your child.
