The Small Things received 360 Eye Robot Vacuum in return for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
I want to start this post off with saying one dreaded word. HOUSEWORK. We all hate it and no one likes doing it. Someone has to. I am a work at home mom, so the job is on me. We have two pets inside so it is twice the work for me as well. When I heard about the new Dyson 360 Eye Robot Vacuum, I had to try it out! This vacuum is high-tech and flat out amazing.
It arrived perfectly packaged in this box and it was shrink wrapped. It also had padding inside to protect it via shipping and I love it because it prevents it from getting dinged and thrown around.
When you unpack the box, you will notice it comes with owners manual, Dyson 360 Eye Robot Vacuum, charging dock and plug. First thing first- make a Dyson account and REGISTER your product. To get things started, open the dock to 90* and place it against the wall. There is a spot for the plug on either side as well. There will be a blue light lit when it is plugged in. There can't be any objects within a 20-inch radius of the dock.
I have the perfect spot in my kitchen for mine! I think this gadget is just the neatest thing! To charge it, you place the robot with the clear bin facing the wall on the dock. The battery light on the top will pulsate when charging and be solid when it is done.
When it is charging is when you can take advantage and download the free app! (Totally optional but highly recommended). There is one in the Google Play store and one in the Apple store. Both are free. When you download the app, it will allow you to schedule your Dyson 360 Eye Robot Vacuum for specific days of the week, view maps of cleaning sessions, diagnose faults and update software! SO cool and convenient! You can also push a button and have the product return to the dock! I think that is just the neatest feature! You can be  hands off, with the exception of emptying it when it is finished and handling with your phone! When you set it up via the app, be sure you have your WiFi info available, because it will prompt you to put all of that info on it.
If you don't have a smart phone or don't want to use the app, all you have to do is charge the robot and put the button on the top and it is ready to go!
The robot has different cleaning modes and charging modes.. If you don't use the app, here is how you can power it: To switch on you push the power button and the blue lights will come on. To switch off, you press the power button until the lights go off. To PAUSE, press the power button quickly and the pause light will flash. You can press again to continue cleaning. Check out this short clip to see how it cleans. Turn down your volume.
There are also two charge modes!
  • Automatic Recharging Mode: Place the robot on the dock to charge, when charged press the power button and let it clean. When the battery is LOW the robot will return to the dock!  HOW COOL IS THAT?!
  • Single Charge Mode: You can place the robot on the floor and not the dock. Press the power button and the robot will begin cleaning and can reach a single charge only. The robot will not recharge when the battery is low, but will return to its starting point and switch off.
As you can see, it has brushes like any normal vacuum would. It also has a very powerful suction. You need to get all cords and small items and , basically anything you don't want sucked up into a normal vacuum off of the floor!
How does it clean? It used the 360* camera on the top of course! Hence the name. It takes a full panoramic image of the room and navigates by identifying features in its field! The camera takes up to 30 frames per second to gather all of the info it needs to know.  Be sure that your robot has plenty of light in the room for proper use. It also maps out your home into a grid of squares and cleans it using a pattern. You will notice that when you watch it clean too.
The robot also has IR sensors that identify obstacles and drops and such! It will record these on its nap. If you don't want to have the robot go in place or room, close a door or provide a barrier.  Overall, I love how this product works. It is SO neat. Charge time is about 2 hours and 45 minutes and run time depends on how big your rooms are. Typically 45 minutes, but that can vary.
I sweep my kitchen daily because we have two dogs and this above is the result. The robot cleaned my kitchen like magic and I LOVE IT! IT will NOT get sharp corners though. I had to take my broom and sweep the stuff out in the floor for that, but I would have done that to begin with. To empty it, you need to empty when it reaches the max line and push the button on the top to release. You can use a coin to open the brush bar and clean that when needed too. In one of the pictures above, there is a filter. That needs cleaned once a month. Refer to your manual for more info on that. I am so happy with my new Dyson!
How much is it? The Dyson 360 Eye Robot Vacuum is $999.99. It also comes with a FREE 2 year Dyson parts and labour guarantee! It is available for purchase on the Dyson website, Amazon.com and Best Buy! When you order from Dyson direct, you get FREE shipping too. I am recommending this product via my Holiday Gift Guide too!!!!  Visit the Dyson website to learn more info! You can visit their social channels to stay up to date with the latest below!

  1. This is pretty cool but also pretty spendy. It looks like it works really well though. Does this work on carpet and flooring?

  11. I have loved Dyson products since my first one about 15 years ago. I just added this one to my collection and it's great except that I can't run it at night like I had planned. It's quiet enough to run during the day so it all worked out.

  16. Vacuuming is easier than ever before thanks to today's technology. The only downfall is that this newest innovation will cost you an arm an leg to obtain. If I could afford the Dyson 360 Eye Robot Vacuum, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

  43. Dyson brought the cyclonic tech to the sweeper bots, and looks really cool too.
I am a little turned off at the height taller than the other sweeper bots, but still short enough to go under most short coffee tables.

  44. I want one! It would make life easier.

  45. Oh how I would love to own one of these bad boys!

  46. Now that is an impressive machine! It looks like it would save SO much time with my daily chores!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I do not own one, and though I would love one, it would be impractical for our needs. It is expensive, and we have a split level house. Unless it could climb stairs, it would be all but useless for half of the house. 😕

  48. My dream machine I will have one some day I hope..

  49. This looks so fun and easy to use! I have to vacuum very day, and this would be so ideal

  50. I own a Dyson Animal standard vacuum and would have to say everything they advertise about Dyson is true. It has amazing pickup power. I am glad to see they made a robot and plan to put this on my list of things to purchase in the future for my house. I have held off buying any sort of robotic vacuum because I have been so happy with my Dyson's performance and thought any other brand would be no good.

  51. What a great vacuum, would love one of these would be great because I have a bad back and would save me struggling to vacuum
