I love cute treats for the holiday! I was browsing Pinterest, and found this cute little treat that lil' luna made. My treat is inspired by hers!  She made Rice Krispies Easter Cups and they are SUPER cute! I made something similar and put my own spin to it by adding Hershey's Whooper Mini Easter Eggs and Peeps on top! Mine are nowhere near as pretty as hers, but here ya go!
These are super easy to make! You can always get kids involved too! Krispie Treats are one of my childhood favorites. I can remember getting so excited to make them!
What you need:
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Package Of Mini Marshmallows
  • Green Food Coloring
  • 5 Cups of Krispie Cereal
  • Peeps Marshmallows
  • Hershey's Whooper Mini Easter Eggs
  1. In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Add three drops or more of food coloring until you achieve the color you want. Remove from heat.
  2. Mix krispies in the saucepan until everything is blended.
  3. Put on gloves and press into a cupcake pan and make an indent on each.
  4. Allow to cool and settle. Add icing. See below:

  • 5 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 TBSPs unsalted butter, softened
  • Green Food Coloring

Use whisk attachment and cream butter, slowly add powdered sugar and a tsp of milk here and there to achieve the consistency you want. If you make it too runny, add more powdered sugar. Pipe each treat with icing and add your Peeps and Candy until you garnish them however you like! ENJOY!
These treats are so festive and adorable! I just love them!
