Disclosure: The Small Things received an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles with Disney to cover the premiere of Finding Dory and a press junket. All opinions are 100% my own and were not swayed in any way.
While in Los Angeles the beginning of June, we had the chance to head to the set of a new Disney Channel Show called Bizaardvark! Not only did we screen the first episode, but we got to walk to set and meet and chat with the cast too!

If you don't know what the show is about, you are missing out! The live-action comedy follows Paige and Frankie, quirky best friends who write funny songs and create music comedy videos for their online channel, "Bizaardvark." Now with 10,000 subscribers, the girls are invited to produce videos at the influential Vuuugle Studios. In this cool environment -- and with the help of their friend and aspiring agent Bernie and fellow Vuuugle stars Dirk (of "Dare Me Bro!") and Amelia (of "Perfect Perfection with Amelia") -- the duo embark on comedic adventures in their quest to take the video blogging world by storm.
We chatted with the cast and they really are the nicest kids! They had some things to say and you could tell they are so passionate about what they do! Thankfully, Colleen over at classymommy.com snapped this short video of the interview with the cast! You have to watch!
Check out these fun tips from the interview and Bizaardvark overall!
  • The five main characters are Frankie Wong played by Madison Hu, Amelia Duckworth played by DeVore Ledridge, Dirk Mann played by Jake Paul, Paige Olvera played by Olivia Rodrigo and Bernie Schotz played by Ethan Wacker.
  • We learned that Jake Paul has is a VINE star and he has not only a YouTube channel, but he has 5 million followers on VINE. He does real life stunts! I thought that was SO cool because his character does stunts and stuff on the show! His advice if you want to start your own: "Find your niche. Be consistent. You can’t post a video and then stop. You need to hit it every week or every few days.”

  • When asked if they have an input on anything in the show Madison and Olivia said they ad-lib quite a bit. “We have a lot of freedom to add their personal touches.”
  • Olivia said her and Madison both play the guitar, piano and sing.

    • Jake Paul has a YouTube Channel HERE and Ethan Wacker has one too HERE.
    • The girls said the show has really wanted them to get in to creating their own diy or beauty videos.
    • Jake says Jake said they really are like family since working together.
Overall, I loved meeting the cast! I wish we could have chatted more, but they had to rehearse! Check out my set visit
Check out this preview of the second episode!

“Bizaardvark” moves to its regular timeslot with the telecast of its second episode “Draw My Life,” on SUNDAY, JULY 10 (8:30 p.m. EDT) on Disney Channel. I plan to grab the popcorn and watch with the kiddo!  In this new episode, Amelia gives Frankie and Paige tips to produce their next video, which has to tell the story of how the two met and created their channel. Meanwhile, Bernie tries to help Dirk overcome his worse fear.
