I wanted to share with all of you what I have been working on for my 10 year old for Halloween! A few months ago, she asked me if she could be Princess Peach! Now, my child has a LOVE for Nintendo. It is crazy! I was on board with this and could not wait to get started. I bought the dress and crown on Amazon. She wanted to be Mario Kart Peach. I spent time saving boxes and searched for a photo to go off of online.
I started drawing my template on a box and cutting it out.
After I had it drawn out, I started taping the pieces together until it came together how I wanted it to look.
After I had it looking how I wanted it to, I paper mache the entire car. I had a bottle of glue, so I poured that in a bowl with equal parts of water. I tore shreds of paper and dipped it in the water and placed it on the box with my hands until smooth. It dried overnight and I was able to paint the following day!
I went off of a photo that I found online and was able to get it as close as I could! I don't think that I did that bad considering it was freehand! I attached it to her by threading ribbon through the sides of the box so that she could wear it on her arms!
I am SO thrilled with how it turned out! She looked so CUTE!
I am so happy that I was able to make memories with my daughter and she can grow up with the memories of me making her Halloween the best!
You can buy the dress and crown on AMAZON HERE. What were your kiddos for Halloween this year? I can't wait to brainstorm ideas for the next. I am going to take it to the next level for SURE! Like this post? Share via one of the buttons below with your friends! Thanks for reading!!
