Disclaimer: Disney, Pixar and ABC invited me to San Francisco on an all-expenses paid trip, in exchange for my coverage of events.
When you think of Pixar, what comes to mind? For me, Toy Story used to come to mind first, but now, Cars 3 does! I had the opportunity of a lifetime to visit Pixar Headquarters in Emeryville, California. I told you awhile back that I was heading to San Fran! I have to tell you that I had such a rush of adrenaline going to a place that has been on my bucket list. I wanted to share with you some fun facts that I learned about it!
The excitement of pulling into this place was just amazing. The first thing that I seen when I got out was the Cars 3 logo on the parking lot.
I almost cried. Why? Think of all of the amazing minds that have walked these grounds. The amazing people, talent and more that came through those gates! It is the best feeling. I was there! ME!
We got out and then did the long walk to the Steve Jobs Building. I was in awe of everything. This place is gorgeous!
History
Pixar originally started in 1979 as the Graphics Group, a part of the Computer Division of Lucasfilm. acquired by Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in 1986. The studio pursued its dream of creating the first computer animated feature length film. In 1995, Pixar released Toy Story, to universal acclaim. The Walt Disney Company later acquired Pixar in 2006.

There it was, the iconic Luxo Jr. and ball. Did you know this hasn't always been here? It was gifted to them after being on display over sea!
How amazing is that? I was waiting on it to bounce over at me.
Holly and I Like It Frantic and I couldn't wait to take a photo with the ball.
All of the amazing #Cars3Event bloggers!
There it was, The Steve Jobs Building. Steve Jobs wanted everyone to come together and be able to talk. Bathrooms are here, and you get food here. He wanted everyone to make conversation and meet new friends. The "Atrium" is the main spot. Employees even go get their mail here.
Look who we were greeted by in the main building! I can't wait to see the new movie!
My favorite characters, made of LEGOS. How neat is that?!
There is so much to see in this building, including the many, many awards!
This was SURREAL seeing all of them!
Check out this Woody doll! This story is amazing and SO SWEET.
Woody doll was sent to Pixar from the Magic Kingdom Guest Relations. Apparently, a little six-year-old boy named Caleb loved this toy so much that it became so beat up, his parents bought him a new one. But Caleb didn’t want to throw out his very first Woody toy, so he left it with the Magic Kingdom staff to give it a good home and let Woody spend “infinity and beyond with Buzz Lightyear.”
Let's go back outside. We went to the Brooklyn Building and were able to tour the grounds as well. Did you know that Steve Jobs named all of the buildings on the grounds? It was his favorite place.
We were greeted by Bing Bong from Inside Out when we went into this building! How cute is this!?
I squealed when I see the shark and DORY.
I looked up and what did I see? It is from the Pixar short PIPER! HOW CUTE!
There is Hank. He was hidden in several areas like this!
On the grounds you will see the heated pool. Steve Jobs wanted everyone to have an active lifestyle. On their free time, they can come and swim!
They also have a building to come and work out! How neat is that?
They even have a basketball court to play basketball. See the ball on the court to the right? How neat is that?!
They grow herbs and such that they use in the kitchen here. I think that is just awesome.
The grounds also have beautiful flowers around it! Look how gorgeous this is? It looks like a bird.
Overall, the tour was amazing. It was so neat seeing where all of the magic comes to life! The opportunity of a lifetime for me. I loved every single minute of it. SO SURREAL. I went to the giftshop there too! So cute and small, and they have a great variety of product! They are completely affordable!
Seeing where Cars 3 is being made! All of it! Speaking of Cars 3, I have a new trailer for you that you can't miss out on!
We seen 40 minutes of this movie, and let me tell you, you will NOT be disappointed!
Cars 3 is in theaters June 16th! Are you going? Because I am! Be sure to follow Cars on their social networks below! Thanks for reading!
