While on my recent press trip, I learned about the cutest show! It is called Puppy dog Pals! Puppy Dog Pals is adorable! It is an animated series about two fun-loving pug puppy brothers, Bingo and Rolly, whose thrill-seeking appetites take them on adventures around their neighborhood and beyond.

I had a chance to screen the first two back-to-back episodes and let me tell you, it is adorable. The first episode introduces you to Bob, Bingo, Rolly and Hissy. Bob is the owner, and Rolly and Bingo are the Pug brothers! Hissy is an adorable cat that you will meet in the episodes!

The first episode is “Hawaii Pug-Oh” – When Bob says he’d love to feel the sand on his toes, pug puppy brothers Bingo and Rolly go on a mission to Hawaii. This episode was so cute! My first thoughts when we met the characters were that this is a PERFECT show for little kids. The voices were ADORABLE because they used little kids of course. It's fitting because they are puppies.

This episode was so cute because they ended up going on an adventure to get the sand and met some friends along the way.

The second episode that is shown back-to-back is called "A.R.F." Bob introduces the pugs to A.R.F., a robotic dog he created that is programmed to clean up their messes.

This episode was so funny because A.R.F. makes the biggest mess in the whole house thanks to Hissy, however, he is only programmed to clean up after Bingo and Rolly. The episode made me laugh!

These episodes are cute because they go on an adventure in every episode. I love how adorable they are! "Puppy Dog Pals," debuts Friday, April 14 at 10:30 a.m. ET/PT with two back-to-back episodes (Each 11 minutes) on Disney Channel. The premiere episode will also become available that day on the Disney Junior app and Disney Junior YouTube page. We also had a chance to interview Sean Coyle (executive producer of Disney Junior's "Puppy Dogs Pals,) and Diana Ikemiyashiro (Director, Original Programming/Disney Junior at Disney ABC Television Group.) I wanted to give you some fun facts that I learned from the interviews! These are my favorite:
  • Sean told us Hissy was supposed to be ORANGE! After doing a focus group with kids, a little girl let them know they wish she was pink or purple and he thought that was a wonderful idea! So that is why she is the color she is!
  • The show was designed for ages 2-5
  • When you watch an episode, you will notice a cute little tune for each one. We learned that each one will have it's own unique tune. You will also see the pugs in the scenes on the rollers with the machine that puts their collars on in at least one of the 11 minute episodes.
  • Theres adventure in each episode. They go out all around the town, at the park, the theatre. Or they have adventures, like you saw, in the house. And then they also go all over the world and all over the country. We're gonna see a lot of adventures throughout the series where they meet a lot of different types of characters and learn new things.
  • When asked how they were able to get a kids perspective, he not only used focus groups, but his own childrens reactions too. He gauged on what they would respond too. Diane also said the ED team goes to schools all over Southern California and they do story time with the kids to feed them stories to see what story lines will work. (SO COOL!)
  • We learned that they have 25 half hours of shows! Each half hour is two 11-minute. So it's a total of 50 stories in the first season!
Overall, I enjoyed learning about Puppy Dog Pals! This show shows how creative that little minds get! Puppies like to adventure just like toddlers, and it is adorable! They also like to be little masterminds and come up with mischievous plans. I thought it was cute! The thought and time they put into making this series blows my mind! I am amazed at the technology they have these days to make an animated series come to life!
