Last year I went and had my eyebrows microbladed! I went through a ton of changes with myself since, and my natural eyebrows even grew out more- not to mention I had lost a ton of weight and I changed my hair. I figured I needed to take advantage of the yearly touch up and get them a little fuller and darker this time! I went to Jeanette Wirz Permanent Cosmetic MakeUp again and she did an amazing job! If you are unfamiliar with the technique:

Microblading is a technique of making brow hair strokes by gently drawing a set of slightly curved needles through the epidermal and superficial dermal layer of the skin. Microblading is performed with a grouping or configuration of needles affixed to a handle to manually create lines that resemble eyebrow hairs.

One reason that I trusted Jeanette was that she has been in the industry for 32 years! I researched her work and I was THRILLED to have her do my brows! Jeanette not only offers microblading, but she also offers several other services as well. Those include 3-d Areola Pigmentation, Shaded Permanent Brows, Full Lip Color, Shaded Lip Liner, Lip Liner, Permanent Eye Liner, Lash Enhancements, Muscol Liner, and lastly, Paramedical Cosmetics for Alopecia.

When you arrive, know ahead of time that your appointment will be for two hours. This gives time to get paperwork done and Jeanette will take photos along the way! You will sit in a chair and Jeanette will take a look at your brows!
You will also pick the color that you want your eyebrows to be!
Come as you usually are with your brows because Jeanette will reshape and pluck and do all of the work you don't have to do! It is free of charge with your service!

After you get plucked, Jeanette will shape your brows with a pencil so that you can both be on the same page with the shape you want your new eyebrows to be!
This is a process as they have to be perfect to get the job done successfully!
I went from the table to the chair to get a better view of my eyebrows.

After we were happy with the shape that I wanted, I went back to the table!  (I didn't go too dramatic because the last time I had it done, my natural eyebrows were plucked away and I had full brows this time)
She plucked at the skin to numb a bit and did strokes on each brow and numbed them again.
Here is the numbing cream being applied to the brows.
The microblading process seems to be a long one but you have to be patient because it will be worth it!
After strokes are made, the pigment is applied to sit.

I didn't feel a thing after being completely numbed! If you were wondering, no it isn't a blade! Microblading is performed with a grouping or configuration of needles affixed to a handle to manually create lines that resemble eyebrow hairs.
And there you have it! My gorgeous new eyebrows are done!
Here is a better look at before and after too! After your appointment, you keep the area dry for 24 hours. you gently cleanse the area with coconut oil and water pat dry and reapply your aftercare. You use the After Ink that she provides for two weeks.
You are probably wondering how much it is, and her price menu can be found here. Microblading is $550 and a touchup every 12-18 months is $275. This is worth every penny for your confidence back!

Now, some fun facts about microblading, because I am sure your brain is spinning as to how and what and why! Microblading gives you your confidence back!  This is not permanent! That is one thing that many in the permanent cosmetic industry get confused about is that it is permanent. This does fade over time and you do eventually have to get touch-ups. It is impossible to determine when you need one because everyone is different.

Recovery time is amazing. Keep in mind when you are healing, your eyebrows will look WAY DARKER! This is normal. Over the next week, the brows will exfoliate and fade to a softer shade. This procedure is safe when you go to the right person. Jeanette is qualified to do what she does. She has strick sanitation guidelines that show follows and she has disposable needles that she uses with each application.

I am so in love with my eyebrows! I am going to update you in 7 days with daily healing photos so that you can see the healing process!
