Our trip to Charleston has been nothing but welcoming and fun! Strolling through City Market in Charleston, we were able to come across pretty interesting things! I had a sweet tooth and lucky us- we ran into just the right place! Byrd’s Famous Cookies is a gourmet cookie store. Byrd Cookie Company was originally founded in Savannah, Georgia in 1924. You may have already heard about them! Byrd Cookie Company has partnered with major retailers like LL Bean, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Cumberland Farms, Ritz Carlton and many more to come.
They are one of the largest and fastest growing independent cookie snack and gift companies in the US. Their headquarters is located in Savannah, GA. Their cookies are fresh baked and not to mention the place smells amazing as soon as you walk in the door!
One thing that I absolutely loved about the place- you can taste test before you buy!!!! YES! They have a table set up with cookie jars and tongs and you can try every flavor available. We took advantage of this!
They have a variety of cookie flavors to choose from! Flavors include: Confetti Cookie, Maple Wafers, Georgia Peach Cookies, Almond Shortbread Cookies, Benne Wafers, Salted Caramel Cookies,Chocolate Chip Cookies, Lemon Cookies, Key Lime Coolers, Triple Chocolate Cookies, Toasted Pumpkin Cookies, Scotch Oatmeal Cookies, Cinnamon Sugar Cookies, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies as well as Gluten Free Key Lime Cooler Cookies!

One thing that I loved about it is that you can grab a container and for $5.95, mix up your own variety of cookie flavors!
The little milk truck in store was the cutest idea ever! A very cute touch!
I made sure to take advantage of filling my box for my sweet cravings! The process was simple and sweet!
They also have pre-packaged cookies available! Every bakery bag is filled by hand with freshly baked cookies and weighed for accuracy.
Upon checkout you can also purchase little gifts!
Overall, I loved the feel of the place, it is super cute and not to mention the cookie were downright amazing! My favorite flavor is the Key Lime Coolers! Did you know that Byrd’s Key Lime Coolers made history when they became the first cookie to win Dessert of the Year at the Specialty Food Association Fancy Food Show?

They have several locations that you can visit, 4 of them are in Georgia and two of them are in South Carolina. Check out their locations HERE. Can't visit a location?
