Majority of the youth today live by the saying, “You only live once” and “Forever young.” When you’re in your twenties, you start to live in the present and think about the future. You might be looking for a stable career, a long-term romantic relationship, places to visit, or food to try. You must also be questioning a lot of your choices in life and whether you will be making a difference to the society you’re in. It’s pretty tough to engage in an existential crisis every now and then. If you’re still in rumination, here are five ways to make your twenties the most unforgettable chapter of your life.

Stitch Up Your Past
In order to move forward, you should be able to settle with your past. Make amends toward people you feel like you’ve wronged or violated. Talk to someone who used to be dear to you. If you are not able to forgive yourself for your decisions in the past, chances are that your twenties, thirties, forties, and beyond would not be as happy as you’ve expected. Always learn to forgive before you let go of your past.

Travel
What is not to like about the world around you? You have a lot to discover about people, cultures, geography, history, and so on. Save up some bucks to visit the places in your bucket list. While traveling outside the country is already a bonus, exploring your town or city also gives you a new perspective. You can visit a famous museum, take a walk in the park, have a dip at the beach, or check out festivals in the neighboring city or town. For once, get off the couch and embrace the world outside.

Try Something New
When you’re in your twenties, you might want to equip yourself with skills that will help you succeed in the future. For instance, you might want to learn how to drive or to cook. You might want to learn how to speak a foreign language and master it. If you don’t know how to swim, then it’s never too late to enroll in a swimming class. Don’t be afraid to try new hobbies just because you’re getting older. Learning knows no age.

Somehow, a bucket list can also help you in trying new things. You can include out-of-the-box activities such as scuba diving, hiking, bungee jumping, and the like. It is better to try out these activities while you’re in your twenties because of your physical prowess and determination.

Take Care of Your Health
Most of the time, young individuals discover their propensity to certain health conditions in their twenties. Some even get sick during this developmental period. You should ask yourself if you are able to complete your bucket list with a poor state of health. Now is the time for you to visit the doctor regularly. Hit the gym or jog around the neighborhood. Eat regularly and go on a detox once in awhile. Start drinking moderately and reduce your cigarette sticks. When you take care of your health, you will surely live life to the fullest no matter what age range you are in.

Socialize
Your twenties are all about building strong relationships with people, may it be your family or your colleagues. Maybe you have been missing out a lot because you have been declining invites to karaoke sessions, dinners, birthday parties, or other social events. It is about time you break out of your shell and meet new people. It is through meeting people and retaining relationships that you get to realize how complicated yet beautiful life is. Whenever you have some fun at parties, you might find yourself drinking alcohol. Always remember to drink moderately and never drive while you’re intoxicated or tipsy. And don’t drink too much when you still have work the next day!
