Betsy Farms- Made in the USA Turkey & Duck Jerky Dog Treats {#Review}

My Maltipoo Max loves dog treats! It is pretty cute how he jumps and barks when he knows I am holding a treat package! Recently, we received treats from Betsy Farms for review!  A dog can never have to many treats after all. I know there has been controversy with jerky treats for dogs. You don't have to worry about that with Betsy Farms! Why? They are made in the USA- not over seas! Their ingredients are sourced here in the USA too!
 Max received Betsy Farms Turkey Jerky Dog Treats and Betsy Farms Duck Jerky Treats!
 The first treat that Max went for was the Turkey Jerky! He loved it! He gobbled it right up too! Check out the ingredients in this treat: Turkey, Barley, Tapioca, Pea Protein, Corn Protein Concentrate, Turkey Liver, Vegetable Glycerin, Dried Whey, Potassium Sorbate (preservative), Salt, Lactic Acid, Hickory Smoke Flavor, Mixed Tocopherols (preservative), Rosemary Extract, Colored With Annatto Extract.
 Max tried his Duck Jerky last. He likes duck treats. He ran off with this one right away and would not let me touch it. That was sign to me he was enjoying!
 All though to a human, they do not smell that great but Max still loved them! The ingredients in this treat are: Duck, Barley, Tapioca, Pea Protein, Corn Protein Concentrate, Duck Liver, Vegetable Glycerin, Dried Whey, Potassium Sorbate (preservative), Salt, Lactic Acid, Hickory Smoke Flavor, Caramel Color Mixed Tocopherols (preservative), Rosemary Extract.
 Overall, I am thrilled with my dogs new treats! I love that each is made with wholesome ingredients and real poultry for protein! I also love that they are all free of wheat, artificial colors and flavors! That is a plus for me! My dog is like one of my kids! I want only the BEST for him! I do want to mention that dog treats are NOT a substitute for your furry friends real food. Check out the serving sizes based on your dogs weight below.

I have been searching for a pair of glasses that I can wear at night. A pair that I wouldn't mind falling asleep in. Recently Firmoo approached me and asked me if I would like to review a pair. Their glasses are afforable and that is one thing I love about them. Ordering glasses from them is easy. You do need your perscription so that you can get the correct lenses and size you need. You can add in your info such as PD, your Axis, what type of lenses you want and more. They offer add ons as well. I chose these neat glasses.
I had never seen plastic glasses that looked like wood glasses, and wood glasses with the skulls on them are just too neat! These are unisex glasses that are rectangular. They have  strong nose bridges and are very comfortable. They are available in two colors too!

 These glasses are $39 with 1.50 single vision lenses and no add ons. However, I was upgraded to 1.57 index lenses with anti-radiation & UV coatings as apart of my review! They also came with a case, screwdriver and lenses cleaning cloth. With those add ons and shipping, it would have came to $56.85 plus shipping which would have been a total of $63.80. Don’t wait for the Ice Cream Truck- Head to Walgreens! #Sponsored

It’s finally summer again and it’s time to treat yourself! We have all been there- the kids are playing outside- you hear the ice cream truck coming. I can never manage to grab my wallet in time to get money out. When I do manage to get my money out- one ice cream cone or ice pop is outrageously expensive! Here is a tip- go to your local Walgreens and grab what you are craving. This is ideal for hot summer nights with the entire family, and it’s super convenient so you don’t have to make that grocery store stop or wait around for the ice cream truck. We headed to Walgreens to have an ice cream party with the nephews and my daughter, Lydia! Walgreens carries several Unilever ice cream brands! Brands you will see such as Magnum Ice Cream, Breyers, Klondike, Frutare, and Popsicle.
 Lydia chose to get Bryers. She said she wanted to have ice cream cones. They did not have many choices in other brands that she wanted- but when she has her mind on one thing- that is usually what she gets.
She chose to get Bryers BLASTS! Oreo Bryers Natural Vanilla and Bryers Chocolate! She also picked out two packages of ice cream cones. Everything here cost her a few cents under $25.
 The kids played in the sprinkler and water. While having a blast, I knew these cold, sweet treats would be awesome for them! I "took their orders" and headed outside right away!
 As you can tell, they all enjoyed it!
What is not to love about cold ice cream on a hot day?

  My favorite recipe has to be Ryan Scott's Berry-Ricotta Crepe LAYER CAKE! This looks SO delicious!

What you need:
  • 5- 5 Inch  crepes made from My Favorite Traditional French Style Crepe Mix from Cost Plus World Market
  • 1 Cup Ricotta cheese
  • 1 Cup Fresh Berries. (Blackberries, Rasperries, Blueberries)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • 1/2 Cup Maison de Monaco Poppy Flower Preserves from Cost Plus World Market
Layer about 1/4 cup of Ricotta cheese on top of one crepe. Then, dot small spoonfuls of Maison de Monaco Blackberry & Poppy Flower Preserves on top. Over that, layer on about 1/4 cup of fresh berries. Repeat two more layers on top. On the fourth crepe, spread 1/4 cup Ricotta cheese and top with another crepe. Dust powdered sugar over the tops. Keep chilled until ready to serve.

Calico Critters Lakeside Lodge & Hazelnut Chipmunk Family {#Review} {#Giveaway}

Until recently I had never heard of Calico Critters. Calico Critters are a line of miniature animal figures, with homes, furniture and accessories. The animal figures are unique because they are made of a special flocked material. My daughter Lydia went nuts when she seen them at Toys "R" Us awhile back. Calico Critters are a product of International Playthings, LLC. International Playthings has been in the business of designing, manufacturing, importing and distributing quality toys for over 45 years. ALL of their products are tested for safety and this includes checking for the presence of lead and other harmful chemicals! They have so many items for your little ones and toys for all ages.  Lydia received a Calico Critters Lakeside Lodge & Hazelnut Chipmunk Family from them for review. 
 As you can see, she was pretty thrilled!
 The Calico Critters Lakeside Lodge was a surprise to us because it was a Bonus Gift Set! It has 60 pieces, including the lodge, 2 bunny critters, and a 7 passenger van! 
 The pieces were super easy to put together and they were self explanatory.
There were instructions on two flaps of the box as well!
The two bunnies that came with the set are completely ADORABLE! The lodge is so cute and has so many features. The porch can move anywhere you want it to be.. and it has a hot tub hidden inside of it!
After Lydia put it together, she wanted to open her Calico Critters Chipmunk Family so that she can play with them all together.
This Chipmunk Family is SOO CUTE! They are all fuzzy. I do want to mention that all of the Calico Critters clothing are removable! Learn more about them: Mother, Savannah is a famous fashion stylist. Father, John is a furniture designer. Sister, Sarah likes taking pictures of her favorite moments. Brother, Dominic is energetic and loves to climb trees. The Lakeside Lodge Bonus Gift Set came with Birthday Party extras! It came with adorable decorations, presents and food! Check them out below. Lydia set it all up for you! It came with the cutest tiny forks, cups and more!
 Lydia put their hats on and decorated. She wanted little bunny to celebrate in style. She said they had to open presents before they ate.
 After she had them all open presents, she had them eat their salad with lemonade to drink.
 She then made them all eat pizza.. whew I would be so full by now!
After she had them all eat pizza, it was time for cake! How cute is this?
 After she had her critters eat, she told me it was time for them to nap in their hammocks. The Lakeside Lodge has two of them for these little guys to relax in!
 It also has a cute balcony and ladder to the top!
The outside balcony is cute too! She told me here that Mrs. Bunny was telling Savannah "Thank you for coming". This little 7 passenger van that came with the bonus set is just too cute. You can add your stickers where they belong and choose how you want the seats to be. The back hatch opens up as well.
 She loaded everyone up so that they can go on a road trip. The littles have car seats with seat belts too!
 Two of the doors open for easy access. So many cute details.
I had a giggle over the Baby In Car Sticker. Too cute! Overall, I completely love both products she received! The Calico Critters Lakeside Lodge & Hazelnut Chipmunk Family are both adorable. These products have so much detail with them. They are so realistic and life like!  These are toys for her to play with for years to come! Fruity Pebbles "Rice Krispies" Treats {#DIY}

My daughter Lydia made Fruity Pebbles "Rice Krispies" Treats this evening. She was supervised of course. You will need the following to make yours!
  • 3 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 10 Oz Package of mini marshmallows
  • 6 Cups of Fruity Pebbles
In a large sauce pan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until melted. Slowly add in your fruity pebbles. Make sure they are completely covered. Pour into a greased pan and allow to cool. Ours took 4 hours to settle and get hard.
She added mini chocolate chips on half of them! Quick and kid friendly treat for the kiddos to make! Thanks for reading!

FuzzyHeads- Plush Toy Pillow {#Review} {#Giveaway}

My daughter Lydia enjoys stuffed animals and anything fuzzy! Her bed is full of her stuffed animals and little friends that she goes to bed with. Recently we had the chance to work with FuzzyHeads on a review here on The Small Things. FuzzyHeads are available in several colors and sizes. They have Fuzzys, Lil' Fuzzys and Big Fuzzies. They each have their own personality and traits about them. Lydia received Lil Fuzzy, Pink Penny  for her review!
 Her Lil' Fuzzy Pink Penny is 9" tall. She is from Pensacola and has an eye for fashion. Just like my diva, Lydia!
 Isn't her face adorable? The stitching is not "cheap". The Plush Pillow Toy is well made and completely adorable.
This is just the right size for a neck pillow for Lydia too! She loves it! We love her Fuzzy Head! The name for these adorable Plush Toys is so cute!  Pink Penny is available in 3 sizes, as I have mentioned above. The size we have is available for $15.
