The Hundred-Foot Journey Inspired Recipes & #GourmetGetaway with Cost Plus World Market

Have you heard about this awesome Disney movie called The Hundred-Foot Journey?  I can't wait to see it! Check out more about it: In “The Hundred-Foot Journey,” Hassan Kadam (Manish Dayal) is a culinary ingĂ©nue with the gastronomic equivalent of perfect pitch. Displaced from their native India, the Kadam family, led by  Papa (Om Puri), settles in the quaint village of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val in the south of France. Filled  with charm, it is both picturesque and elegant – the ideal place to settle down and open an Indian  restaurant, Maison Mumbai. That is, until the chilly chef proprietress of Le Saule Pleureur, a Michelin- starred, classical French restaurant run by Madame Mallory (Academy Award®-winner Helen Mirren) gets wind of it. This movie is based on the best-selling novel by Richard C. Morais and starring Academy Award®-winner Helen Mirren. It will be in U.S. theaters August 8!
Recently, Celebrity Chefs Ryan Scott {Restaurateur & Host of Food Rush} and Aarti Sequeira {Author & Host of Aarti Party} have partnered together to create The Hundred-Foot Journey inspired recipes to celebrate World Market’s Gourmet promotion and the theatrical release of The Hundred-Foot Journey , to create delicious recipes inspired by the film. They have french food and indian food recipes that are just amazing!

  1. The Chai Coconut Ice Cream with Curry-Chocolate & Ginger Snap Ripple sounds fantastic :)

  2. I love cooking shows and movies, and Disney made another great movie that I want to see. I like the recipes, but mostly I like the Berry-Ricotta Crepe Layer Cake! It sounds delicious.

  3. I want to see this movie, love pretty much anything Helen Mirren is in.

  4. I adore crepes and have made them a couple of times. They are sooo worth the work. I cannot wait to see this movie! But being on a diet right now...might not be a great idea until later..LOL!

  5. I have to agree with you! The Ryan Scott's Berry-Ricotta Crepe LAYER CAKE does look delicious! Wish I could make crepes!

  6. Would have to say that would love to see this ... would love to see with my best friend

  7. I love French food, Indian food is just not my thing, but there are a few dishes that I love. I hope the recipe book is available soon. It would make a great gift.

  8. My son took me to Old World Market yesterday (maybe day before) to look for the crepe mix but they didn't have it. They are going to try and get it and call him when it comes in! I hope they do because he is planning on making this dessert for me!
