I love to bake! These cookies are the easiest and bake 6-10 minutes depending on how big you make them. It is the same recipe that I used for my emoji cookies, only with two small tweaks.

For the ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup unsalted butter at room temp
  •  2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • & 1 teaspoon salt
  • Bowl of granulated white sugar
  • Colored Sprinkles
  • Gel food coloring
  1. Preheat oven to 400* and in a mixing bowl, beat sugar and butter until fluffy. Now beat in your egg and vanilla. Beat in your gel coloring.
  2. Grab another mixing bowl and mix baking powder, flour and salt and sprinkles.
  3. Mix in with your hands (I find this to be easier) one cup of butter/sugar  mixture at a time into the flour mixture until combined and dough-like.
  4. Roll into two balls and on a floured surface roll with a pin and cut with your cookie cutters. I find it easier to put flour on the cutter to get it to not stick as much.
  5.  Roll each ball in granulated white sugar.
  6. Place on a parchment paper lined baking pan 1 inch apart and bake 6-10 minutes- depending on how big you make them.

These cookies are delicious and soft and chewy! ANYONE can make them!

I love how pretty that they are too! We are going to add more sprinkles next time though!
These cookies are also a great idea to make for the holidays coming up soon! Get festive with sprinkles and food coloring and make them your own!
