Easy Country Cobbler

I just love Cobbler. Best of all, I love it when it is easy to make. I have not made this since last year and my husband requested it randomly tonight, at 12 AM. LOL! :) Here is the recipe! Try not to drool through the screen. Step by step directions! This is how I do it!

Easy Country Cobbler

You need:
ingredients

  • Casserole Dish, Milk, Sugar,Self Rising Flour, 8 Tablespoons Butter ( or 1 stick) and your pie filling of choice!

What to Do:
Melting butter.
  • Preheat your oven to 350*. Take a your casserole dish and throw in the stick of butter ( or carefully measured 8 tablespoons of butter) in it. Put the dish in the oven till the butter is melted.
  • While the butter is melting, take 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of flour and mix it all together in a bowl. NOW WHILE stirring, add in  3/4 cup of milk slowly. MIX WELL!

Looks weird right now huh?
  •  Grab the dish out of the oven. ( CAREFUL ITS HOTTT), and pour the sugar/milk/flour mix over top of the melted butter.

Will look similar to this.

  •  Now open your pie filling and spoon it on top of the mixture. Put it everywhere. =] I am sure by now you are licking your spoon. MMMmm good huh?

off to the oven we go!
  •  Put the casserole dish into the oven and bake for 30 minutes! ( Check it at 26ish minutes to be sure it didn't cook too fast)

Mmm cobbler!
  •  Now it should be golden on top! Looks yummy huh?
  •  Grab a bowl and ENJOY! You can add vanilla ice cream to it too!!! It is delicious!
Please let me know if you try this recipe. You will not regret it and if you decided to cook this for a family gathering, people will think you spent hours on it!! Enjoy!

  21. That is a fairly simple recipe. When I clicked on it I thought the word "easy" was going to be a bit misleading.

  23. In the south we call this a cupa cobbler, as in a cupa suger, etc. It's really good with the wild dewberries or blackberries. These are easy & as good as it gets!!

  26. When I was a kid my grandma always used to come over and bring desserts. Whenever she made cobbler, she would put raisins in it, no matter if it was apple. peach or cherry. I could never understand why she always did it, because none of us liked it that way!!!
