Jon and I went to the Uncle Dave Macon Days Festival! It was SO fun! This post is PICTURE HEAVY! I am talking 30+ so beware! Uncle Dave Macon Days is a three day old-time music and dance festival that takes place in Murfreesboro, TN at Cannonsburgh Village. Uncle Dave Macon Days is an annual traditional (old-time and roots) music festival during the second full weekend of July in Murfreesboro, Tn. Its purpose is the preservation and promotion of Middle Tennessee folk culture in music and dance. Since its inception the festival has adhered to a policy of an alcohol and drug free environment. I was able to take photos of the other side of the event other than the dance competitions to show you all that there is more than just dancing. =)
My husband and I at the event. We had a great time! The frozen lemonade was delicious.
Check out some of the blue grass and tap dancing. It was neat to watch!

 This chair! =)
It was so hot. Even some kids were getting cooled down.

I thought it was neat they were dressed for the event as they would have been in the old days.

 Making Goats Milk Soap!
There were so many great food venders but we totally wanted this! They were churning ice cream and making home made cobbler. =)
Jon bought me some home made soy candles!
I hope you enjoyed seeing pics of our weekend! Thanks for looking!
