We went to see A Madea Christmas this weekend!! Madea gets coaxed into helping a friend pay her daughter a surprise visit in the country for Christmas, but the biggest surprise is what they'll find when they arrive. As the small, rural town prepares for its annual Christmas Jubilee, new secrets are revealed and old relationships are tested while Madea dishes her own brand of Christmas Spirit to all.

I always love how the Tyler Perry movies have a serious side ( the story) and yet they are funny too. This movie is a family fun movie BUT not for the little kids. The movie features issues like religious versus secular celebrations of Christmas, interracial relationships in the deep South, and honesty between parents and children. In my opinion- a movie for the "teen" generation, unless you are ready to talk to your child about "sex".  There are sexual references and language, but it is a Madea movie. That is quite common. Crude humor, but I like it! This movie is great for a date night!! Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas is rated PG- 13 and runs about 100 minutes.
