My daughter Lydia loves dolls. She also loves Lottie Dolls! Have you heard of them? They are so cute! Lottie Dolls are a new innovative doll from ages 3-9. Lottie is a feisty character; she can stand on her own two feet and whilst she occasionally makes mistakes, she learns from them. She is not perfect. Lottie loves adventure and the outdoors and uses her imagination. There is something you need to know about these special dolls! Lottie has been based on the scientific proportions of a 9 year old child, with the exception of her head (which has been increased to accommodate hair play). She does not wear jewellery, makeup or high heels. She can stand on her own two feet...... always a useful life skill for all girls, big and small!
Her clothes are vibrant in color and have significant attention to detail. Lottie’s clothes are very much activity based, in line with those of a 9 year old instead of an adult. She wears pretty dresses, as well as hard-wearing clothes for muddy, outdoors play. Lottie allows girls to be girls and enjoy their childhood, in all its facets. Lottie’s motto is ‘Be bold, be brave, be you’. Lydia received two of the new dolls! These will be available in the US JUNE 2015.  Check out the first one! This is called Lottie Doll Fossil Hunter! How cute is she?
Fossil Hunter Lottie is a doll that is ready for adventure and excited to make her own scientific discoveries with her special rock hammer and backpack full of fossil hunting tools (magnifying glass and trowel) as well as ammonite fossils. She also comes with a set of special collector cards about the British female fossil hunter Mary Anning and an additional sheet featuring women in paleontology.  Fossil Hunter Lottie was created with real-life paleontologists, archaeologists and geologists to teach kids about fossils.
I think she is adorable. Her magnifying glass is real too!
Her backpack allows you to add everything inside of it so that it dosn't get lost too!
I love how playful her clothing is as well. How cute is she? Lydia loves gemstones and fossils. I thought that this was a great fit for her.
The other Lottie Doll that Lydia received is the Stargazer Lottie.
Stargazer Lottie is a doll that is excited to explore the beautiful night sky through the lens of her telescope and learn about the constellations and planets.  She also comes with a tripod, a set of special solar system collector cards and a sheet featuring notable women in astronomy. Stargazer Lottie was developed in collaboration with the European Space Agency to get kids excited about astronomy.
Lydia also loves the stars and planets so this was one I couldn't pass up.
I can't get over how playful her clothing is. It isn't cheap quality neither.
Be sure to keep an eye out June 2015 for these dolls! The Stargazer is already available on their website for $24.95. Lottie dolls and accessories are available in-store at select Toys R Us, Hallmark and Barnes & Noble, and independent toy stores, as well as online at www.lottie.com and Amazon. MSRP: $19.99 for dolls. Accessory sets sold separately. MSRP: $9.99. Visit the Lottie website to stay up to date with the latest!
