I wrote this post as part of my participation in a blog tour on behalf of Johnson &; Johnson Consumer Inc., the makers of VISINE ® . I received compensation to thank me for taking the time to participate. However, all opinions expressed are my own.
It is no secret that I love to binge watch. My husband works 6 and sometimes 7 days of the week, we love to binge on his day off and catch up together. Him also being gone gives me a chance to binge on my own shows. He doesn't like some of the stuff that I do, so I cuddle up with the dogs on the couch and watch them. Screening on during Fall TV season helps me stay connected with my husband and friends because I can be in the know and have conversations around the shows we all like. I hate being the clueless one. It feels good to know the "inside jokes" or have a conversation about what happened on last night's Fall premier!
When I binge, I have to use my VISINE®, the must-have screen accessory! Watching TV for long periods of time can cause your eyes to be dry and it isn't a good feeling. Everyone has experienced dry and tired eyes during a binge-watching marathon and thanks to VISINE® always saving the day,  I don't have to worry about that anymore! Speaking of VISINE®, they did a recent survey and I think that these stats are pretty interesting! The VISINE® #ScreenOn and Tribeca Film Festival Binge Appeal Survey was conducted by Wakefield Research among 1,500 nationally representative U.S. adults ages 18+, between July 21 st and August 1 st , 2016, using an email invitation and an online survey.
  • The survey found that more than 1 in 3 binge-watchers (37%) say their eyes frequently get dry or irritated when they binge-watch.
  • Seventy-one percent of binge-watchers frequently watch multiple hours of content with at least one other person.
  • Fifty-two percent (52%) of employed Americans have watched a television show specifically so that they could join conversations about the show at work.
These are just a few of the stats that I found interesting! I am one of the 71% and my husband is one of the 52%.
Another great thing that I wanted to share with you would be AdoptAClassroom.org. This cause is pretty amazing and you have to join it! Between September 26, 2016 and November 1, 2016, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc., McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division will donate a dollar to AdoptAClassroom.org each time #ScreenOn is used on Twitter for a minimum donation of $20,000 up to a maximum donation of $30,000. To learn more about AdoptAClassroom.org, go to www.adoptaclassroom.org.  This will help provide classrooms access to technology and screens.
